The Optimal Experience

Most of times during my coaching sessions i ha ve hard time trying to guide coachees into reaching a higher level of self-awareness. It takes several sessions to let the coachee exploring and re-opening his/her life so when the right moment occurs i have no hesitation to take my opportunity and guiding the coachee into the Flow concept. I love it! It's amazing watching the coachee taking confidence in this new perspective, in this new path that can lead him/her to a total new awarness of potential, challenge, pleasure and learning. The Flow theory, or called The Optimal Experience was developped by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, famous psychologist that created this theory studying human experiences. He concluded that some negative emotions like anxiety, stress, boredom depends on our level of challenge and competence that we feel in any situation, duty or plan we face. The higher the challenge compared to competence the more we feel stress; opposite, the more competent we are related to the level of challenge, the more bored we feel. Putting the right questions will make the coachee realize of how may times in life he/she felt exactly the same. So it's enough to teach how to reach a balance between challenge and competence and let them try. WoW, what a change! They immediately realize what they need to face a plan, situation, a.s.o. Perfect balance will lead them to magical self-determination of goals! The greatest of the human competences! Same time pleasure will appear, pure simple pleasure in action. Intrinsic motivation is a natural consequence, and this is very important because intrinsic motivation is the key for perfect planning and executing. Most of all, you learn, every action, all the time, you'll learn. Positive learning leads to increasing in self-efficacy! Positive emotions will flow in our mind and...the magic of coaching...new self-awarness into personal strenghts! Enjoy the video, worth of thousands euro lessons..and like Big Z says"...that's what it's all about..what it'd be better than this!.."
